In the first trailer for The Prodigy, a young boy named Miles (Jackson Robert Scott) sits on a couch watching a metronome move as Arthur Jacobson (Colm Feore) slowly hypnotizes him into revealing the person who has taken over his body. Suddenly his mother Sarah (Taylor Schilling) awakes and reveals this to have been a dream. She sees Miles standing scared in the hallway and beckons him to her. Just as they are about to hug, he transforms into a full grown man who grabs Sarah as she screams.
