It's 1978 in Hell's Kitchen, New York City, and we meet three wives (Melissa McCarthy, Tiffany Haddish, and Elisabeth Moss) of New York gangsters whose husbands are incarcerated. The wives make a pact to put control of their lives back in their hands by running the rackets their husbands ran and taking power for themselves. The three women look to take over the neighborhood, putting them on a collision course with rival gang families.
