In the second trailer for the motion picture Death Wish, Dr. Paul Kersey (Bruce Willis) tells his daughter Jordan (Camila Morrone) he loves her. The scene switches to night and his wife Lucy (Elisabeth Shue) is in her kitchen, asking Jordan to come downstairs. We see a masked man with a knife, who grabs Jordan. The two women try to fight off the intruders. Later, at the hospital, Dr. Kersey is told he can't go into the ER. He goes to Jordan's bedside. She's awake, asking for her mother, who didn't survive the atttack. Later, Dr. Kersey goes to the police and asks if he can help in solving his wife's murder. He's told to have faith by a police detective who seems blasé. Dr. Kersey decides to hunt the men down himself, one by one.
