Poet Cyrano de Bergerac (Peter Dinklage) is in love with Roxanne (Haley Bennett), but is insecure and does not deem himself worthy of her love. When Roxanne informs Cyrano that she's in love with Christian (Kelvin Harrison Jr.), Cyrano is heartbroken, believing his fate is to love her only from afar. When Christian asks Cyrano to write romantic letters to Roxanne on his behalf, Cyrano reluctantly agrees.
