Wow...Zack Snyder has done the impossible. He filmed the "unfilmmable" film. Watchmen may be one of the greatest graphic novels ever written, but, did the film stay true to the novel? No doubt about it! I think Snyder has done the best job anyone could have done. It's clear that Zack Snyder has an immense understanding of the graphic novel. No one wanted to see a Watchmen movie that was not faithful to the graphic novel and Snyder has changed little. The biggest change was to the ending and even that change made more sense in the direction the movie was going. I don't think Watchmen is flawless, but what movie does not have any flaws? That said, Watchmen does indeed border on the same brilli

Great special affects, plenty of action. However, the characters do not have much brand recognition like the Marvel charaters. Dark movie.

A really great movie. The opening sequence with the Comedian and the title credits set the tone for the film, letting the audience know that we're watching an alternate reality of 1985. Some really great camera work, [especially in the opening], when the camera is outside the apartment building following the action inside, and you see the reflection of New York in the glass. Zack Snyder continues to use the speed up//slow down technique that he used a lot in 300. Jackie Earle Haley and Jeffrey Dean Morgan are standouts in this film. They were everything there characters should be. My only complaint was that the second act of the film dragged. So I was thinking of what I would cut out

Stayed true to the original story....if you were a fan of the book you will love this movie. Even non-readers of the book will enjoy this.

Special effects were excellent, but dialoque rather poor. No remarkable actors in this group.

The Watchmen was quite an enjoyable film. The special effects were impressive, the acting was believable, and there were quite an interesting collection of people cast for the various roles. Jackie Earle Haley stole the show as "Rorschach". He played his part to a tee! Some excellent lines from him in the film. Very much a tough guy, and nice to see him get his career back on track in recent years (an Oscar nomination for 2006's Little Children). I've been a fan of the guy all the way back to The Bad News Bears back in the 70s. All in all ... definitely a blockbuster film. Plus, the soundtrack/score was superb. You can't go wrong when you incorporate the likes of Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, an
