to play the power house lady you need a powerful actress - meryl streep does this movie a great justice - i learned more about the history of thatcher from this movie than in all my history classes and reading! well done - she deserves an oscar nod at least.
while streep was...well streep, the movie lacked any creativity and style. in short, it was boring.
meryl is brilliant as margaret thatcher. the movie does not intend to just be a biopic. bravo to lloyd and morgan for looking at thatcher through the present - dimentia is a part of life. and so kudos for exploring it with sensitivity and still presenting the world of an important political figure in the twentieth century - a woman who was not afraid to change the world.
depressing and disappointing. more about dementia in her later years than her success as a politician.
an interesting movie about dementia and how it can affect all of us...not really a movie about thatcher. streep was amazing.
this movie is about dementia not margaret thatcher. the leftist hated margaret thatcher and hate her even now. less than 10 minutes of the movie is about the challenges she faced and her achievements
streep never fails, but the movie does!
loved streep's performance...but she deserved more..as did thatcher herself. the movie was a huge let-down. poorly written and crafted. a wasted performance by streep.
tour de force acting on meryl streeps part plus the makeup that went on...incredible. but the movie itself is not great. she deserves an oscar though.
although the movie contains one of the best performances of our generation - streep as margaret thatcher is brilliant, the movie is a bit of a let down.
