The most serious movie about birding ever created.

Steve Martin hasn't been this good since The Pink Panther.

A fantastic movie for a birder! Know all about the passion. The actors were believable even though I expected a lot more laughs.

Boring movie about bird watching

User rating: October 17, 2011

Well... I didn't hate it. It was a cute story but it was a touch boring at times.

I really enjoyed this movie... probably the most fun I've had at a movie all year. The best way to know if you're going to like the movie is if you like Steve Martin's and Jack Black's sense of humour... funny, a bit self-deprecating but generally sweet characters that you'd definately like to know. I definately think it helps to be a birder to be interested, though. Yes, a few birding errors (Pacific loons on the uplands of Atu? Really?) but they've obviously made an effort to get the bird facts right.

I agree with previous review, it's just a sweet story nothing more.

Went and saw it. Really good good movie. Shows what can happen when you become to committed to your passions.

Being an ornithologist I loved this movie!

This is a lite "dramedy" about three men birdwatching (yes...you read that right). Now, this doesn't mean it's a bad movie, I only want to let future audiences know that the ads are misleading. No real laughs here, just a sweet story. 4 stars.
