Saving Mr. Banks is a nice movie. Tom Hanks did a great job under director's John Lee Hancock guidance. Emma Thompson was barely recognizable as Pamela Travers, the hoity toity overly critical author of "Mary Poppins." Overall a nice time for the family.

I've heard it said that "Tom Hanks doesn't make a bad movie" It is true this is well done original theme movie that drew me in to really be interested in the characters and the movie,This is an excellent film for all ages.

Great acting by Emma Thompson. Tom Hanks and Paul Giamatti. Enjoyed finding out about how and why Mary Poppins was written and filmed.

An entertaining and sobering movie on the pre-production power struggle between the author P.L. Travers vision vs. the vision of Walt Disney and his staff for Mary Poppins. I never knew how difficult it was to make this movie and how much the author did not want it to be entertaining, musical or animated. This movie made me more appreciative of Mary Poppins and it has piqued my curiosity to read the original book that inspired Walt Disney to pursue this story for over 20 years. Great story and cast. Huge surprise was Jason Schwartzman as Richard Sherman singing Feed the Birds.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Was great that the old tapes were saved to get an idea of what really happened. Can't wait to sit down with the movie Mary Poppins and see it from this new perspective. Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson both did Oscar worthy performances

Saving Mr. Banks brings back the magic of Mary Poppins. Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson are a comedy duel as they start the creation process of our beloved Mary Poppins. During the movie you not only see the struggles that Ms. Travers went though as a younger age but we are reminded that all of us have our own Mr. Banks.

Great movie! Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson are amazing. It was fun to have a look behind the scenes of the creation of the masterpiece that would become Mary Poppins!!!

This movie provides a fantastic overview of the trials and tribulations of Walt Disney and his efforts to make this timeless movie. Great performance by both Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson.

This movie was awesome, we did lots of crying, laughing and saw some real meaning in life. I have never seen Mary Poppins, so will have to get the real movie now. Tom Hanks was great in the role of Walt Disney (my favorite movies), and Emma Thompson was perfect for her role. She showed a soft side on many occasions and you really saw how her life as a child was. Tom Hanks (Walt) expressed some of his childhood as well. Emma's chauffeur was great for his role as well. A very heart warming movie. Thank you for allowing me to attend this great premier.
