Superbly creepy, completely gruesome, and thoroughly satisfying. So far it's the best horror film of 2023. Only serious horror fans need apply, however. Many will find it too much.

Nothing but blood. Fell asleep twice.

If you are expecting to be entertained by this movie - FORGET IT - THEY JUST THREW GALLONS OF BLOOD AND NOTHING ELSE. The story line deviated away from the original and was just boring. I fought going to sleep and curses myself for stooping this low to pay money to see pails of blood. Do yourself a favor - go see something else

It's an Evil Dead movie and that alone makes it a buy for me later. However, I won't be wearing it out like it's predecessors. Likes - The gore was fantastic! If you don't care about plot, things making sense, and you just wanna see a straight up slobber-knocker, THIS is the movie for you. The effects in this movie were outstanding. 2 - the silly horror humor that only a horror movie lover would enjoy. I thought this movie had it well throughout, not overdone and not forced. 3 - the creeps and jump scenes were fairly good. Some were a bit predictable but overall, they fit and were well timed. Dislikes - I only got 2 but they are a real put off. 1- the boy who finds the book is just STOOOOPID - how he finds the book, what he does with it, what he refuses to do with it - i dunno. If I were to splash blood on a book and it opens up on its own to a demonic ritual, i'd be a bit freaked and get rid of it!! Not this kid... oh no! "Lets keep reading and listening to these demonic records at the same time. Surely nothing bad will happen." But if not for him, there wouldn't have been a movie. 2 - the book is obviously the centerpiece of the movie. But in the movie, the book seems to be overemphasized with no real substance. And what I mean is that any Evil Dead fan knows that the Necronomicon shows the demons and preface what's in store for our innocent screamers. Well in this movie, the book was shown flipping through pages a lot, but only 3 demons really came from that. I just feel that the balance w the book was off and a bit redundant throughout the movie. In previous Dead movies, it was focused on early and then at the end. This was done throughout the course of the movie and posed more of a flow disruption than anything. I got 1 "meh." - The plot was not really good, especially w the

No Bruce Campbell, no need to see.
