Alfred Chin (Taylor Takahashi), better known as Boogie, is a light-hearted high school student with a dream. He wants to make it into the NBA, but no one believes in an Asian basketball player. Most people excpect Chinese kids to go into careers that involve math or science and even Boogie's parents have mixed feelings about his goals. Boogie meets a girl named Eleanor (Taylour Paige) who encourages him to fight for his dream.
