Both visually and spiritually stunning! Thank you cast and crew, and Mr. Mowat for your inspiration.

A fantastic journey both in mind, time and culture, I wish I were there.

one of the most extraordinary film I ever seen.It decribes with grace and compassion the encounter of two cultures and the discovery of the inuit soul for many people who do not know it.

Engrossing tale of survival in the Arctic with touching theme of redemptive bond that develops between arrogant Canadian bush pilot and dying Inuit girl. Unlike all too many films whose impacts vanish with their final reel, this one has an emotional resonance that stays with you after the film.

This movie was so wonderful. I grew up in Alaska and actually spent many years living in an Inuit village called Unalakleet. The portrayal of these wonderful people and their hardworking, generous and compassionate natures was authentic and long overdue. I immediately went online to locate more books and stories written by Farley Mowat. As a high school teacher, I fully intend to incorporate this movie, and the beautiful short story upon which it was based titled "Walk Well My Brother", into my regular curriculum. Charles Martin Smith has outdone himself with this one -- I never thought he would exceed his accomplishment after "Never Cry

How could almost 14% of the folks posting here rate this wonderful movie one star? This is one of those movies that you can`t wait to tell family & friends to see. Filmed on location which depicted the raw beauty of the tundra & resulted in beautifull photography. The acting by all was top rate with special kudos to newcomer Annabela Piugattuk. Nineteen years old; what a bright future she has!

if the Annabella Piugattuk doesnt get an academy award for her performance they should quit giving them.
