Powerful message of morale. Riveting; I never took my eyes off the screen. Exciting story filled with truth and honesty. I consider this movie to be one of the best. Cruise deserves an Oscar for his performance.

I have to be truthful, I am not a Tom Cruise fan - but this movie was spectacualar!!! He is truly worthy of an Oscar for this one and so is Ken Wantanabe! When I went to this movie I had mixed feelings, I was semi interested. I cannot believe what a jewel I could have missed! It`s been a long time since a movie made me feel such patriotism and deep sadness for a lost way of life since Braveheart and Dances with Wolves. This is one of the best movies I have ever seen! 6 stars!!! I won`t miss these Oscars!

Awesome! Excellent script and amazing cinematography depicting an era and culture that I had little knowledge about.

An amazing movie that stunned me by its precision and beauty. It subtly takes the reader through the many wonderful nuances of Japanese society and the internal conflict of a wonderfully acted character by Cruis. The only time I looked at my watch was to make sure the movie wasn`t going to end. A matserpeice. Ken Watanabe ruled as Ketsumoto he and Cruise deserves acadamy ward nominations.
