My husband and I both enjoyed The a finest Hours throughly. The actors were wonderful and engaging. The history was fascinating and the ocean and ship scenes were terrifying. Good job.

A thrilling and thoroughly enjoyable film, full of great effects and performances! Was on the edge of my seat. Go see it on the big screen!

Inspirational family movie with a great story and fine acting. The Finest Hours had lots of drama and adventure and good music soundtrack. I liked the actors, especially the female lead. The credits at the end where they showed the true life heroes was a nice touch.

The human interest story is not new and has been seen many times. However, the ocean scenes are very well done and certainly provide the spence of menace and chaos the ocean is capable of . Some scenes were literally heartpounding and edge of your seat movie making. Having said this, some issues which seem to be a constant with disaster films-when there are important and heroic speeches the wind miraculously dies off and the sea stops pounding for the length of the speech! As well, some characters end up in the icy seas and yet seem not to suffer from hypothermia!

I enjoyed it thoroughly. It built up to the action and then kept you engrossed.

It was a little slow at the very beginning but once it gets going, we were so into the movie. We totally enjoyed the movie and this is a wonderful family movie. Love the old photos at the end of the movie.

I was very pleasantly surprised at The Finest Hours. The beginning was a bit slow as they set the scene and storyline, but I was thoroughly engrossed as the pace advanced. Casey Affleck is all grown up and believable as the unwilling hero of the torn oil tanker. Eric Bana is easily disliked as the guy who sends the small crew out in wretched weather for a rescue mission. Chris Pine, looking 10 years younger, is pretty good as Bernie Webber, the rule-abiding US Coast Guardsman sent on a 'suicide' mission to seek and rescue the crew of the stricken tanker SS Pendleton in one of the worst winter storms ever seen. I would definitely recommend this movie to anyone. Much more entertaining than 'Oscar contending' The Revenant.

WOW what a wonderful movie. I went with a girlfriend and she felt the same way. We both had tears running down our face at times, felt almost like I was experiencing the storm myself. Everyone clapped at the end of the movie (and that doesn't happen too often). Certainly will and already have recommended this movie to other friends. A big THANK YOU for the opportunity to see this sneak preview.

The movie was wonderful, the captain had a do or die attitude saving those lives including his own. It was his job to rescue as many as possible & he did a darn good job. It was extremely tense for me & my partner because of the condition of the storm.
