I didnt like this movie at all. i went with some friends and we were SO bored...my friend even started playing games on his cell so he wouldnt be so bored. it was kinda of pointless and i thought it was supposed to be a thriller...? it was more like a borer..( if thats even a word. haha) my friends and i couldnt wait until the end of the movie and we were actualy happy when it ended. I feel it was a waste of my money. dont go see this movie!!! it is a waste of time. im not exagerating...this is prob the worst movie i have ever seen.

I don`t even know what to say. it seemed like they had way too many plots going at one time, and then tried to explain it in the last 5 minutes. when the credits started rolling, i swear i heard one big collective "huh?" from the audience. You expect the movie to be mainly about the murder, but that is only one of many stories they are trying to tell and it usually takes a back burner to scarlett johannson batting her eyelashes. and hilary swank really does look nothing like who she supposedly does

Absolute rubbish...I wouldn`t recommend this film even as a rental. Waste of time and money.

Very, very disturbing movie. I`m a guy that likes watching movies like, The Aristocrats, South Park: Bigger Longer Uncut, but this was juat awful. You can`t hear a thing anyone is saying. Normally if a movie is bad I say "This is a DVD movie." But The Black Dahlia doesn`t even deserve to be rented. Too bad Tribute doesn`t offer an option of rating a movie "0", because this definately does NOT earn even a "One Star" rating.

If I hadn`t seen this movie with a friend, I would have left after the first five minutes. while it appeared to have potential elements of a good plot,& cast, production values were poor.

Lets make a pro con list for this film... Pro, attractive young hollywood cast Con, dialogue Pro, .... Con, pretty much everything else Pro, its over for me Con, others will be tricked into seeing this film by an excellent marketing campaign Pro, have you seen the Wickerman....yup, that covers it. Con, have you seen Taladega Nights and or any other film with the exception of the Wickerman? I understand that a majority of movie goers tend to be scynical about modern film, but in this case...and that of the Wickerman...scynicism just doesn`t cover it. This movie had the potential to be good...It was a very slow movie that only picked up during the last 20 minutes...I found it very difficult to draw the story lines together to make sense out of it...

It had so much potential. Good story, good actors, very stylish. Captured the era very nicely. Too bad the director was hammered. He had no idea what he was doing when it came to connecting the various storylines. Made the movie a complete mess. And who cast Hilary Swank? Another character is supposed to look exactly like Swank`s character. Unfortunately, no one in the world looks anything like Hilary Swank. Way to go. I wasted 10 dollars.
