this movie was great. From the pre-views I thought it might have been jsut another army over done movie, but it wasn`t. It had a plot to it that captures what one can go through in the army

the movie was very well done and acted in i thought. It brings the futility of the Gulf War (to the american soldiers) very apparent . At times i was laughing and in the same scene got very sad and uneasy the contrast was nice

this movie was soo bad! it`s not even worth renting. There was no story, it made no sense, and it`s not the action movie the commercials make it out 2 be. i was bored throughout the entire movie and would have left, but the theater was full of upset and frustrated viewers.

It`s an okay-movie. In my personal opinion, it`s certainly not as good as "Saving Private Ryan" for a war-movie. If the director`s focus was emphasizing the trauma and frustration each marine personnel had to go through during the Gulf War, I can safely say that he had done a good job. However, I would hesitate to call “Jarhead” a good war-movie.
