Great gritty performance by Eastwood. Surprisingly funny - sort of Dirty Harry meets Archie Bunker! Must See.

I thought this movie was really awesome. It combines comedy, plot development, and character development. What more can you ask for from a movie? Clint Eastwood should get a lot of awards for this movie, I am willing to bet on that.

Just the opposite of many reviews for me in that instead of provoking thoughts of my relationship with my parents, it provoked thoughts of my relationship with my adult children........................so you see, a movie for all generations.

A real stand up guy. I wish I lived next door to this guy. I didn't like the character because of his racist views of asians but because of his old fashion no nonsense values and morals that are painfully missing in todays youth. If uou liked "Falling Down" with Mike Douglas, you'll like this movie.

Watched the local premier. Was very impressesd with this movie. Clint is excellent as the 50's era Korean War Vet whose neighborhood has moved on without him Funny Sad An enjoyable evening out!

If you know before-hand that most of the roles are played by non-professional actors it will considerably enhance your entertainment value. Clint Eastwood intentionally over-acts which adds to his role and the overall theme. A great commentary on today's Western society and a fitting end to the numerous Dirty Harry movies and tough cowboy roles portrayed by a still great legendary actor, director and musician name of Clint Eastwood. Stay till the credits finish. Signed--------GWH
