This was a good film but not a great one. I give it three stars, perhaps four when I`m in a good mood--which I was when I left the theatre. I thought that the part that takes place back in the U.S. ran slowly. The exploits of the dogs when they were on their own was really well done. The acting was very good but not superb. I would highly recommend this film but I think that some respondents are overenthusiastic about it. Let`s put it in perspective: worth seeing but not a Titanic, a 2001 Space Odyssey, a Star Wars or a Narnia.

The movie was incredible. Made me want to run right home and hug my puppy. I only hope that people won`t run out and buy a dog just because of this movie they require a lot of time, training and attention. I also loved that they rescued puppies from the pound and trained them to be in this movie. AMAZING JOB. Definate buyer...i wanted to watch it again the second after it was finished

The dogs were the best actors in this movie.

Eight Below blew me away, as a dog lover and a dog trainer the talent and skill the dogs have is amazing. The bond between Maya and Paul Walker was undeniable evident in every scene they did together. I plan on seeing this movie over and over again, and buying it the day it comes out. Any movie that can make me cry like that in public deserves to be rewarded. I think Maya should be nominated for best actress in a drama at the Oscars, she is better than 85% of the human actresses out there right now.

Eight Below is such a good movie for animal lovers and if u aren`t one well u sure will be by the end of this fantastic movie! It is really sad though because they have to leave the dogs. I almost started crying, but it`s worth seeing!

The story was well told, some parts were a little long...but overall it was a good movie! I want a husky now!

Eight below is a masterpiece that achieves an excellent portrayal of the amazing bond that can occur between humans and their four-legged best friends. A beautiful story of courage, instinct, and love. A great film for all ages.

Great movie loved it. I own a Siberian Husky that is fourteen now. His charter traits are very similar to what was seen in the movie. This movie is based on a true story, we don`t know how they lived, but I do know that Huskies do think and care.
