Born in Austin, Texas, Nicolas Cantu has build a wide résumé, from comedy to drama and everything in between. Known to be unusually alert and social, Nicolas quickly found his love for acting at seven years old. He would often create his own roles, routines, and voiceovers both at home and school. This love was seen by his classmates, as he participated in every school play, his most memorable being The Bear Went Over the Mountain.

Moving to Los Angeles, California, Nicolas got his first role when he was cast on the animated show Sofia the First in 2016 as Prince James. Appearing in 14 episodes of the show, he kept the role until 2018 when the show ended. During his time on the show, Nicolas worked on many projects, including commercials, guest roles, and more — his most notable roles being Joey in Vikes (2017) and Curly in Hey Arnold: The Jungle Movie (2017).

He is best known for his role as Gumball Watterson in The Amazing World of Gumball, a show he starred on from 2017 to 2019. Following the life of 12-year-old Gumball and his family, the show is widely loved.

After it ended in 2019, Nicolas landed two recurring roles on animated shows that he still works on. He plays Winston on the Nickelodeon series Middle School Moguls, as well as Dak on DreamWorks Dragons: Rescue Riders. In 2020 he was cast in the spinoff The Walking Dead: World Beyond as Elton — following the plot of the beloved show The Walking Dead, the spinoff focuses on the first generation to be raised in the zombie apocalypse.

In Steven Spielberg's The Fablemans (2022) Nicolas played Hark — a boy scout troop member and friend of Sammy’s who assists him in making films.

Nicolas stars as Leonardo in Seth Rogen's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem (2023). The film follows the iconic turtle brothers on their journey to defeat an army of mutants who believe the brothers belong underground. They fight to save New York and be accepted as normal teenagers in society, wanting to experience conventional life.

Despite his lengthy résumé, Nicolas is a normal teenager who enjoys basketball, skateboarding, drawing, and animation. He uploads comedy videos to his personal Youtube channel Junky Janker, where he has accumulated 425 thousand subscribers.
