Oldie but goodie
July 10, 2022
We love going to the movies. This was this first theater this size built in this area and it's the only one not updated. So in a way I see that as a benefit for us. The seats are not assigned so we find the most comfortable ones and we are less likely to have someone right next to us. We still go frequently. The staff is extremely friendly and courteous, the popcorn isn't stale, and they will make a fresh batch of coffee if I ask, and the floor is NOT sticky. 🙂
Tried to call and got stuck in a Loop!

The seating is not so good. People coughing on your back. Tried to call the theater about a movie and it was impossible to reach the Stonington theaters.
Has definitely made a turn around in the last year. Staff members friendly and courteous.

Has definitely made a turn around in the last year. Staff members friendly. Popcorn much better than before. Usually not to crowded a plus for me.
Old, smelly, outdated, uncomfortable
February 20, 2017
This theater is by far the most unfortunate excuse for a movie theater I have ever seen. Regal should actually charge less for tickets because of how old and uncomfortable the seats are. Where most places now have luxury seating with the ability to recline and view the screen comfortably, this place is still using stiff-backed, old-school type seats. For the amount of money we pay for movies, nowadays, I really feel ripped off when I go there. Plus, as others have said, the place smells bad. My assumption is that the old carpet has a funk from years of food being dropped on it. Seriously, carpeting, greasy junk food and high traffic humanity are never a good idea. Movie theaters and shopping malls really ought never have carpeting unless they want to have a vile stench. Sadly, this is the closest theater to my home town, so I just choose to stay home, rather than spend the outlandish prices to sit in an old, stinky, uncomfortable building. If Regal would only invest some money in renovations, I think a lot more people might go out to the movies, including me. But now, with the ease and accessibility of viewing films from the comfort of my own family room, I very rarely opt to see a movie outside of my home. The rental prices are lower, there is no foul odor, and the popcorn is free.
Bad smell in concession area as well as theater!

I find this theater needs a good cleaning. The rug in the concession area smells as well as the inside of the theater. Had to hold my hand by my nose so I did not smell it. I saw other comments about the same thing, get your act together and clean the place!!!!
