Water is a masterpiece! Beautiful cinematography, captivating scenes of colonial India, endearing characters, especially Chuya, the spirited little girl displaying amazing strenght and vitality against the shocking backdrop of India`s ancient traditions regarding the status of widows. Water is a poignant story, drenched with color and music, and tugs at your heart. Memorable...
Each frame of this movie was taken with careful detail and the music adds beautifully to it. This movie was amazing. It captures the true essence of colonial India and I fell in love with the characters. Amazing, amazing and amazing!! -AJ
A very touchy movie and an eye opener. It teaches you a lot about life itself. Lisa Ray and John Abraham did a wonderful job in this movie. Love it and refered it to all my friends. Nina, Scarborough

Very interesting movie, well worth checking out. Very thought provoking, will provoke some interesting discussions after watching the film.
Went to see `Water` on the opening night and simply loved it. When the movie finished there was a hush, nobody moved, unlike other movies where people are anxious to leave the theatre, everybody just sat there. It was almost a full house. Very well made, keep it up Deepa, the cast, the story and even the location was absolutley perfect.
the best movie i have ever seen... i am still in awe.
