I loved this film. I thought it did a superb job of bringing the book to the screen--something I would have thought impossible. The special effects were indeed special and the acting was excellent. Both the young and the older Pis were perfect. The nuanced suggestion of the deeper themes (belief in god, our need for stories) was done in just the right measure. It certainly satisfied my need for a story!

For me it was a five star with it's stunning visual effects! One of the most beautiful movies I have ever seen. I, personally enjoyed the storyline, it kept me enthralled and emotional for most of the film. I didn't realize it was a long movie until I checked the time at the end. The twist at the end makes me want to watch it again from a different perspective. I felt the topic of God and faith were touched upon here and there but never dealt with deeply. I highly recommend it in 3D in order to get the full effect. A beautiful movie for sure.

The Story line was very weak in stops and, very poor 3D CGI... It looked very rushed to finish. Had a little more continuity been observed, it would be an excellent movie
