Somewhat far fetched as too many unbelievable aspects that would have ended their lives. Seems like a cat with nine lives

simple storyline but amazing, unprecedented CGI and effects. 3D IMAX is definitely the venue for it. It's not a question of whether the space effects are authentic or not, it's whether or not it's good entertainment-which it is.

Fantastic special effects - the movie just zips by - don't miss it.

This is a movie best seen in 3D for sure. With basically just 2 actors, one is kept mesmerized to the screen with all the action, drama, and suspense of a great film. Bravo!!

Not worth the money

One of the best movies I've ever seen. Really showcases how amazing CGI can look when done well. Great acting, visually stunning. The 3D adds so much to it, making it that much better

Did these reviewers see the same movie I did?? Not even the CG could save this movie. The events that transpired are highly improbable at best. One hypothetical disaster after the next. 2 separate objects in space get hit by the same space debris... ok, Escape capsule burns up in the atmosphere. Yet the chute deploys and she survives... ok. If this was the real world. Sandra Bullock's character would have never been chosen to be an astronaut. She was clueless throughout the movie. Nasa / other space agencies around the world only accept the brightest of the bright to be astronauts. This movie was easily the worse movie I've seen this year. I guess the movie go-ers of today only need go

Great visuals. The story of an epic space adventrue. Sandra stole the show. At first I was a little skeptical that one person could carry an entire movie, she did it. I really enjoyed the story and all the amazing graphics. The motion was fluid and you actually would think it was filmed in space. Loved it.
