Cars 2 is nowhere near as good a story as the first movie. The character build is shallow and the story like is elementary. Seems like they created this version for the single purpose of selling more merchandise.

This is a very disappointing follow up to Cars. Some of it is funny, but mostly it's just gratuitous violence. This should have been rated PG, not G. Our 6 year old was clutching to us in fear as cars were killed. Do not waste your money. Rent it if you must when it comes out. You won't have to wait long; it's that bad.
