In the trailer for Vox Lux, eccentric pop star Celeste (Natalie Portman) is being interviewed by a reporter. When she's asked what audiences can expect from her new album, she tells him, "This album is a culmination of my life's work so far." We see her in concert, where adoring fans scream in delight at her performance. However, we also learn that Celeste has psychological problems and tantrums, to the point where her teenage daughter tells her she's worred about her.
