Responding to a call for a hired gun, the outlaw hired gun Jericho (Michael Paré) arrives on the scene. On the run from a bounty hunter, Jericho chances upon a priest who believes their meeting is fated. Through endless gunfights Jericho eventually comes to a point where he wants to hang up his guns because he's found God.
