Max Bernal (Bobby Cannavale) is a struggling stand-up comedian whose top priority is his autistic son, Ezra (William Fitzgerald). When he is given the opportunity to further his career and Ezra's school decides the boy is too much for them to handle, Max takes him on a cross-country road trip to help them both.
