Boy (Stellan Skarsgård) lives in a corrupt post-apocalyptic dynasty where Hilda Van Der Koy (Famke Janssen) and her family rule. She keeps power with a game show-like television execution called The Culling, which has been running for 25 years. Boy's family was murdered by the Van Der Koy family and left him deaf and mute. All he has left is his inner voice, and a plan for revenge.
