Ask Dr. Ruth

In this first trailer for Ask Dr. Ruth we are introduced to the titular person, the diminutive Ruth K. Westheimer. Armed with a thick German accent, the Holocaust survivor became a leading voice in sexual literacy. We learn about her early years in education, living as a single mother, and her origins as a German Jewish refugee during the Nazi regime, helping her become an uncompromising figure in her field. That background also fueled her compassion to those viewed as sub-human, helping her push the awareness of H.I.V. and A.I.D.S. In a career she doesn't believe in retiring from, she feels she has an obligation to live life as large as possible.
