Woman in Gold is a beautiful film about family, tragedy, love, rebirth and justice. The film was riveting and inspiring, and included charming performances by Dame Helen Mirren and Ryan Reynolds. The true life story of Maria Altmann's life should not be missed. I hope this film inspires audiences worldwide to learn more about Nazi campaigns so that history never repeats itself.
The movie was well-scripted and well-acted. I particularly enjoyed Helen Mirren's character. Her chemistry with the lawyer played by Ryan Reynolds was evident.
Excellent movie, it held my attention from beginning to end. Wonderful performances by Helen Mirren, Ryan Reynolds and Tatiana Maslany. I could feel the emotion, I forgot they were acting. Definitely a must see. Awards are inevitable.
This film was a mixed bag. As an adaptation of true events, it was relatively traditional and so not all that engaging story wise. However, the acting and imagery saved this film for me. Helen Mirren and Ryan Reynolds gave stellar performances, as expected, but it was Tatiana Maslaney that really stole the show. Her portrayal of a young Maria Altmann was both beautiful and heart wrenching. The flashback imagery in the film was gorgeous. Overall, a film with perhaps just a bit too much tradition but just enough shining parts to be set apart.
Wonderful movie with a great cast.
Remarkable story of seeking justice. Helen Mirren puts out an incredible performance. Ruan Reynolds just cannot keep up or hold a candle to her. Go see this you won't be disappointed.
Strong performance by Mirren. She is the 'queen' of this film.
Loved this movie start to finish. Great acting and it flowed well. I love movies based on true stories. Great movie worthwhile seeing. Helen Mirren is fantastic. She captures the screen.
