This film tells a true story and tells it very well. There is great intensity, but also there is a good deal of levity to balance it out. The actors were completely engaging in their roles. The characters cycle through nearly every emotion you can think of, and I was with them every step of the way. It's an independent film, but it packed a greater wallop than its budget would suggest. The hand-held style of cinematography added intimacy and intensity to the scenes, and only distracted in the occasional outdoor scene. We went with a large group and everyone had good things to say. Consider bringing some tissue -- especially if you are a parent -- as heartstrings will be tugged.
