fell asleep during the movie. Boring does not begin to describe it.

well, it seems the vote is divided. there are those of us who read it, and actually laughed our heads off at the jokes we saw, and those who see movies about books they`ve never read, and didnt get any of the jokes. i pity them

100% Douglas Adams. As someone that saw the orginal series on TV, this movie pays homage to the orginal and Mr Adams. Even the voices of today`s actors/actresses match the orginal - especially the manic-depressed robot. You will either like this movie or not be sure if you like it or not. Although my 8 year old daughter said SpongeBob was more down to earth..??

One of the worst movies of all time. Boring and definitely not funny. Do not waste your time on this film.

if you are part of the 47.9% of people who gave this movie 1 star, i pity you, it would seem that ture humor in this world is truly slowly being drained from our civiliation, like water through a strainer filled with pasta. this movie was without a doubt one of the funniest and closest incarnations i have seen to the great douglas adam`s work. unfortunatly, if you didn`t like the movie, you wouldn`t like the book, tv series (with a very poorly extra head taped on zapold), or radio series. anyway, if you have no sense of humor.......stay away.....you will only give this movie a bad rep.

Expect the unexpected and you will be blasted back even further. The film gives new meaning to the term "adaption". The film is non-stop Douglas Adams. The Director Garth Jennings is a cinematic GENIUS. I really pity those that don`t know anything about it because their jaws must be even more soar than mine. If you don`t like this film (as a startling 65% don`t) then you just don`t enjoy movies. Or comedies. Or Douglas Adams. Shame... WONDERFUL FILM! MUST SEE FOR ALL SOON-TO-BE-CONVERTED COOL FROODS.

If you don`t understand parodies and satire, then most of the movie will be lost on YOU (those who give this a 1/5). This is an excellent film.

Saw this on Wednesday at the premiere`s at Chinook. I thought this was the worst movie I have ever seen in my life. I suggest that you stick with the books. And I love the book too. I was really disappointed.
