The worst problem with this movie is: it's BORING. Bad acting, bad script, and just not very interesting. Two thumbs down.

Ignore the folks slagging this because of Reiner's personal political leanings. This is not fiction. These journalists actually did their job instead of taking everything at face value. Truth does not belong to any particular political party. We all deserve the truth. I say well done to the Knight Ridder journalists who were the only ones who got it right.

Weapons of Mass destruction were allowed to develop in Iran, North Korea during Obama's watch. The Crimea was annexed by Russia, and China made intrusions into the South Seas, but by all means, let's discuss a President from almost three terms ago, erring on the side of caution in regards to reports. There was lots of data showing there might be a problem there. The usual Hollywood elite are paying their dues to the party with this one.

Another glorification of paid democrat propagandists looking to attack a Republican President again. happens every time a Republican takes the White House. Check out Reiner's comments on politics before watching this. You're essentially in the Matrix with this one.

Very timely movie about how the press is pressured into reporting what the government wants it to say. In this case it is the US government of President Bush wanting the public to believe that there are weapons of mass destruction in Iraq back in 2002-03. Similar as a movie to Spotlight and All the President's Men and a better movie than The Post.

Shock and Awe. The story of how Hillary was destroyed in the election.

The Washington Post has never endorsed a Republican candidate in all of it's existence. Now it's owned by Bezos who hired twenty extra reporters during the last election just to go after Trump. Now we have a fictional story about them being light bringers. Spare us the drama, and put on your big boy pants for once.

Once a meathead always a meathead. Reiner is left of Lenin.

Saw this at the Oakville Film Festival and it was so good. I had never heard this story before about these journalists who were the only ones who reported the truth. They were at the festival and it really was amazing to hear their stories of how hard it was to try and report the truth. If you care at all about free press, go see this in theatres when it opens on July 27. For fans of Spotlight.

This cast though! Career best for all involved, and such a captivating, important film - especially now.
