nice visuals, story fine for the young audience, light entertainment for the adults, but can be a bit slow and too predictable. might be a bit too confusing for children too little. although i enjoyed it, meant to cheer me up a bit... that's all, escape to Rio for me... an imaginary one.

I gave this a reluctant 3. The grandkids loved it ... but I thought it was BORING. Even they were ready to go when it was over. Great visuals, of course, now could someone learn the lost art of witty dialogue?

RIO is one of Blue Sky's funniest movies, next to HORTON HEARS A WHO! and ICE AGE: DAWN OF THE DINOSAURS....as well as being one if 2011's greatest animated comedies!!!!
