This was apparently a very hard movie to film. They had to get approval by the King of Saudi to shoot it. Also none of the crew were allowed to view the Kabba so they had to hire and train a local crew specially for the task

From my point of view I found the film to be both breathtaking and beautiful for different reasons. First, the brilliance of the IMAX technology still leaves me breathless every time I watch a film. But more than that this particular film with it's vistas of desert terrain, the vastness of the journey that so many devotees of Abraham and Islam embark on, is overwhelming. I found myself wanting to trek to Mecca.
