I am surprising myself right now by giving this movie 5 stars. But honestly, the bar is not set very high for movies these days and this one had me cracking up the whole entire time. Actually I would've probably given it 4 stars because the plot was just so-so but that kid is so incredibly amazing. That kid has the special something that you look for, especially when he dances. So just be aware, you would have to like vulgar and somewhat childish humor to also give this film 5 stars, otherwise you might find it too silly.

Bad Grandpa had me laughing, but at the same time I was disturbed at the targets it chose to mock. Seems like it reinforces privileged sensibilities in terms of how it's okay to be rude and offensive, because hey it's a joke!!! The humour is lowbrow, sexist, and classist, and we're supposed to give it a pass because it's ostensibly voiced by a dirty old man who doesn't know any better? I dunno. I feel weird about it and I can't quite put my finger on exactly why I think it's messed up. I have to admit I was laughing all throughout though, and the storyline wraps up pretty sweet. I kept wondering how they set up the situations, and if you stay through to the credits, you see some of the behin
