i love johnny depp and have long admired tim burton's work so i was excited about their most recent collaboration. unfortunately, this one fell a bit short for me. the funniest lines in the movie were those in the trailer. for the most part, i enjoyed johnny depp's turn as barnabus collins. he brought just the right amount of quirkiness to the role but i felt that the plot just didn't give the actors enough to sink their teeth into, so to speak. still, it was somewhat entertaining.
