For the person who said "True to the book!"... we can't read sarcasm

book is better, much more detailed

The only unadulterated and honest line in the movie is when Tom Hanks describes the Vatican's treatment of Classical sculpture as an act of "vandalism." Like the book, the movie script is badly written. Dan Brown likes to toy with heresy but lacks the courage to see it through.

I was glad I almost forgot about the book cause the movie helped me remember how fast paced the book was. Still, the book was better because it was more descriptive because the movie was little difficult to swallow. But all in all way to go Hanks and Howard and everyone else involved to bring it to life.

Very disappointing - the movie strayed too far from the book, with some characters dropped entirely and story lines totally changed. Too slow moving - kept looking at my watch to see when the misery would be over! Read the book but wait for the movie to come out on DVD.

LOVED the book! Read it in 3 days.....even having to read thae last 3 pages on the way to the movie....BUT it wasn't the same story! They forgot important chracters, and had to give their "stuff" over to other characters.....yes - the movie was fun and I did enjoy it, but the book is so much better!

Having read the book (multiple times), understanding the difficulty of creating a movie based on a book, and the trials of filming on location in Roma - KUDOS to Ron Howard. He did an excellent job as did the actors. Bravo, bravo. A must see and own movie.
