Extremely boring. Walked out on this movie.

Keeps your interest, although nothing much happens. Good performance by Redford.

This movie isn't for everyone, but if you're looking for something a little different, something smarter than what's been coming out of Hollywood, then this is the one for you. I thought it was better than Captain Phillips. Redford is fabulous, and although there is no setup to his character, no backstory, nothing to "like" about him, he slowly draws you in and you will be on the edge of your seat. But be patient! A number of people left before it really picked up. It's worth the wait. Not sure how I feel about the final moment of the film... there was a collective gasp of frustration from the audience. You'll know what I'm talking about when you see it:)

Robert Redford gives a stellar performance. He will have you sitting on the edge of your seat in anticipation of his next move. A Brilliant plot impressively delivered.

Gripping. As a "solo survivor" movie, I thought it was less spectacular but overall a better movie than Gravity. It was stripped down to the essentials.

A great tale of Man vs. Nature, but it is more of an art house film than a Hollywood blockbuster.

Very intense movie filled with sudden events and emotions. Robert Redford has given a great interpretation and rendered the caracter very likely. I would definitely recommand.

Because it was released just a couple of weeks after "Gravity", it's hard to not think of the space movie when watching "All is Lost", even if a more apt comparison might be "a stripped down "Life of Pi" without a tiger or philosophical lessons." Both films involve a single person's quest for survival against elements beyond control. "Gravity" put a female doctor up against the vastness of space, while "All is Lost" puts an elderly man against the harshness of the ocean. Both have no communication with other humans (after a certain point in the film, anyway), and both have to use smarts and training to survive. The premise for "All is Lost" really is that simple. One man, played by Robert

Robert Redford delivers a great performance.

Robert Redford did a great job, but I found it disconcerting to have next to no dialogue, but that certainly is just a matter of personal opinion.
