Akeelah And The Bee was a great movie. It was a positive, thought provoking family movie. My husband and I enjoyed the movie just as much as my eight year old did. I would definitely recommend this movie.

Cheesy at times but still a pretty good movie

Nice family movie. Very uplifting.

Good movie, nice story. Nothing is added by seeing it on the `big screen`, I`d recommend waiting for it on DVD and watching it at home.

It was a nice "clean" (no bad language) movie and I enjoyed it very much. Sad that it was not so well-advertised over the various media.

I thought it was touching, but my boyfriend sadly fell asleep. I guess it`s one for either the family or for the girls. A little bit predictable, but still has a nice ending. I don`t know if i would suggest going to the theatres, but definately worth a rental

I went with my daughter and we both (age 9 and 40 something) LOVED this movie. The story was very engaging, the children cast in the roles were very good, and there was enough "real life" in the movie that it wasn`t too "goody goody". The audience surprisingly was mostly adult, but everyone seemed to enjoy this. This is also a good movie for seniors - several in the audience were CLEARLY enjoying themselves!
