Having seen the first one and having attended a preview of the first 13 minutes in IMAX 3D a little while back, I was disappointed in this one. Whether we agreed or not with Spartan ways, the 1st movie made a good job of showing they trully believed in their way of life and were fully committed to it. In this case, Themistokles and maybe 1 or 2 others seem to be the only ones truly committed to their belief in democraty (although even that was not always convincing) while most other characters seem to be more along the lines of "As long as I get to live, its OK to surrender." This would be OK if the lead character had been charismatic enough to convince the others, but he didn't come acr
I think they used half the footage from the 300 and not the best part either. It was terrible.
Eva Green is soooo hot. Gave it 3 stars just for her.
This movie looked amazing in Imax 3d...and this coming from someone who is not a fan of 3d.
Not a bad movie, but lacked character development, sub plots, ending was predictable. Why wasn't the Spartan Queen as thirsty for revenge and justice as she was in 300 ?
Good thing I saw the first one yesterday to understand this one. I like how it followed right on with he first one so you could feel the continuity. Lots of blood and gore, but expected it after the first one, thank goodness.
non stop action... wicked movie... visually amazing
getting really tired of mostly 3d, get a headache, stop forcing 3d on us. Made the movie experience not as enjoyable.
I thought this one was not as good as the first one(hence 3 stars),although 3D effects were good. Worth seeing, lots of guts & glory.
Two stars only because I like Sullivan Stapleton.
