In the second trailer for Dark Phoenix, when Jean Grey's (Sophie Turner) powers begin to grow at an exponential rate she causes the death of a member of the X-family. With Smith (Jessica Chastain) egging her on to embrace the force within her, it puts Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) in a precarious situation, forcing him to team up once again with Erik Lehnsherr (Michael Fassbender) to either save Jean, or put a stop to her once and for all.
