The movie was almost a perfect presentation of the books and it is a great work by Peter Jackson and all his crew. This is the best movie of the year for sure.

Couldn`t have made a better epic film from one of the most pivotal books ever written. It gives more hope than the film "Pearl Harbour", considering Tolkein wrote the books during WWII. It was easy to be swept away by the splendor... MW

By far THE greatest "novel-put-to-film" in the history of film. With most novel-based films there are always quite a bit of change and differences, with this one or two rather than 10 or 50. Its movies like this that make the Fantasy Genre what it is. Great for novel fans.
