Portia Doubleday Biography

Date of Birth: June 22, 1988

Despite her famous last name, Portia Doubleday is not related to the Doubledays who started a publishing house more than 100 years ago. She was born and raised in Los Angeles as part of a showbiz family—her parents and older sister are all members of the Screen Actors Guild.

Although she landed a commercial for Goldfish crackers at age eight, followed by a small role in the 1997 horror film Legend of the Mummy, Doubleday's professional acting experience was limited when she landed her second movie role—co-starring opposite Michael Cera in the motion picture Youth in Revolt (2010). She went on to play a supporting role in Carrie (2013) and starred in After the Ball (2015).

Most recently, she played Sloane Maddison in the horror film Fantasy Island (2020), based loosely on the classic TV series of the same name.
