Diana Rigg first rose to fame on the British TV series The Avengers, playing a secret agent. On the big screen, she played James Bond's only wife in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service in 1969.

Rigg also loved the theatre, performing with the Royal Shakespeare Company and on Broadway, where she won the 1994 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play.

She won a Primetime Emmy for her role as Mrs. Danvers in the limited series Rebecca (1997) and was nominated nine times in total, including four times for her guest appearance as Lady Olenna Tyrell on Game of Thrones.

Rigg was made a Dame in 1994 for her services to drama. She died at the age of 82 on September 10, 2020 at her home in London, England, having been diagnosed with cancer the previous March.
