The Metropolitan Opera: Francesca da Rimini

Francesca has fallen in love with Paolo, but has been promised to his older brother Ostasio. After marrying her betrothed, Francesca reveals her fear of him. To raise her spirits, her maid calls for Paolo to visit, but after a few moments in each other's company, they realize they can’t fight their feelings for each other any longer.
