The life and career of Belgian-born author Marguerite Yourcenar, who wrote "Memoirs of Hadrian" and "The Abyss." The film takes viewers on paths travelled by Yourcenar so they can witness the landscapes she saw and discover the places that left their mark on her, along with excerpts from her diary and numerous other works.
