Coupling avant-garde minimalism with distinct traces of surrealism and psychedelia, Benedek Fliegrauf's piece of performance art The Milky Way consists of nine landscape shots, each filmed with a fixed, unchanging camera. The images study human movement and communication by depicting a number of individuals engaging in strange, esoteric behavioral rituals. This film is not to be confused with Luis Buñuel's famous 1970 feature of the same title.
