Convicted murderer Piet Blomfeld (Eric Bana) has a visitor, Desmond Tutu (Forest Whitaker). Tutu is seen talking with a woman who pleads as she holds a picture of her child. Tutu promises to help her. Tutu believes that Blomfeld knows who killed the girl in the picture. When Tutu meets Blomfeld and asks for information, he tells the murderer, "We either learn to live together in this country, or we will die together in this country."
