The Eagle Huntress

In the official trailer for the documentary The Eagle Huntress, we're introduced to a "strong and brave" 13-year-old Mongolian girl named Aisholpan, who is "setting out to become a master eagle hunter." If successful, she will become the first female in the sport's 2,000-year history.
Set in the beautiful but unforgiving remote Altai Mountains of Northwestern Mongolia, we see Aisholpan training for the ancient tradition and preparing for the annual Golden Eagle Festival. The trailer depicts Aisholpan's family life, the rich Mongolian culture, and the courage Aisholpan displays on her quest to become an eagle hunter.
