CIA agent Mason Brown (Jessica Chastain) says that during the Cold War, at least they knew the enemy. Today, the enemy is invisible. They can destabilize entire countries from their keyboards. She puts together a team of women who work for different intelligence agencies, including British agent Khadijah (Lupita Nyong'o), German agent Marie (Diane Kruger) and Columbian agent Graciela (Penélope Cruz), to track down and stop a mysterious group that plans to start World War III.
